The Algonquin Resort in St. Andrews New Brunswick

Canada has so much to explore in our vast country sometimes we forget the beauty in our own backyard.  Here in New Brunswick there is a beautiful quaint city - St. Andrews in the southern area of the province.  This city is home to the 5 star resort The Algonquin which boosts exceptional service and a culinary experience that will leave you with a few extra pounds.  Pampering is always included at this resort.

Strolling down the streets will have you see a few beaches but a great one is only a couple of minutes away which takes you to Minister's Island.  Where else can you get out of your car and step on the floor of the ocean?  Now just make sure you know what time the tide is coming back in so you are not stuck on the wrong side.

One must do experience is the whale watching excursions, we have gone on several and they never disappoint.  This is very popular during the summer season so please make sure that reservations are booked well ahead.  Another short walk from the Algonquin Resort is the beautiful Kingsbrae Gardens.  You can stroll for acres looking at the pristine manicured gardens where you can literally stop and smell the roses.  Make sure to stop in their restaurant for a quite bite before you leave!

While staying at The Algonquin you can walk downtown and have dinner at The Waterfront which over looks the harbor and is stunning at sunset.  Smelling the fresh ocean water and enjoying a nice glass of wine is the perfect end to your day.

Now walking back to your resort you will probably have company as there are so many deer in St. Andrews they out number the people and are quite friendly.  If you are lucky you might be able to see the albino deer, but they are all around so be careful if you are driving.

If you are looking for a great escape, look no further than this hidden gem of St. Andrews and have a perfect stay at The Algonquin and for you golfers, well they have one of the top courses in Canada.

When you are ready to explore the East Coast, give us a call and we will help you plan your memorable trip to St. Andrews and many attractions nearby.
